Karate Tournament
On June 22nd, the Orillia Academy of Karate participated in the 48th Annual Toronto Academy of Karate Fitness and Health Karate Tournament, with a group of 10 students participating
Students took part in Kata ( forms ) and Kumite ( sparring ). The Orillia Dojo brought home 12 awards. The white belts were excellent in their very first tournament.
White Belts Audrey MacDonnell, Maximus ImBeau, Nathan Brilhante, and Isaac Cuthbertson all showed well and should be proud of their results. They showed great spirit and improvement.
White Belt – Isaac Cuthbertson – 3rd in Kumite
Green Belt – Michelle McLean – 2nd in Kata and 3rd in Kumite
Blue Belt – Logan Feltham – 1st in Kata and 2nd in Kumite
Brown Belt – Riley Masnica – 1st in Kata and 3rd in Kumite
Black Belt – Stacie Theis – 2nd in Kata
Black Belt – Jack Shell – 3rd in Kata and 2nd in Kumite
